Citizen Exceed featuring lightweight titanium construction with Citizen’s proprietary DURATECT scratch-resistant surface treatment, sapphire crystal, Eco-Drive light-powered technology, radio-controlled time synchronization, and a perpetual calendar.

The Exceed line is one of Citizen’s higher-grade watch lines, combining refined construction with advanced technology. The titanium case and bracelet keep the watch noticeably lighter than a comparable stainless steel watch, while Citizen’s DURATECT surface-hardening treatment improves resistance to scratches and everyday wear. The sapphire crystal provides excellent scratch resistance as well.

Citizen’s Eco-Drive system converts natural or artificial light into energy and stores it in a rechargeable cell, so the watch does not rely on routine disposable battery changes. It can also synchronize to an atomic clock radio signal for highly accurate timekeeping when a compatible signal is available. Its perpetual calendar automatically accounts for different month lengths and leap years once properly set.
